This course will teach you vocabulary and skills related to participating in meetings. You will learn terms and phrases used both in email and in speaking to arrange, participate in, and conclude meetings. The goals of this course are to enable you to participate effectively in on-site meetings and teleconferences and to prepare you to write a proposal as an outcome of a meeting.
In this assignment, you will write an email announcing a meeting and then respond to another person’s email saying that you cannot attend.
1. Read these notes.

Company: Eagletop Outdoors
Meeting: Weekly Management Meeting (including decision about the location of the new flagship store)
Preparation: Read/bring reports on the 3 locations.
Time: 1hr 30 minutes.

Write an email to the management team announcing the meeting. Decide on a time and location. Mention the agenda. Ask for any questions or if the team would like to talk about anything else. Also tell the team to inform you if they won’t attend the meeting. Give a deadline. Use your own name. Remember to include a subject line.
2. Submit the assignment. Your assignment will be reviewed by other students in the course. If you would like specific feedback on your assignment, write your question here.
3. Review three of your peers’ email. Use the following to review .
Plan a teleconference. Review the guidelines in Lessons 1, 2, and 3. Then record yourself as you begin and end the meeting.

c. Explain what will happen in the meeting and who will do each part.
d. Ask one member to begin.
To end:
e. Summarize what was accomplished in the meeting.
f. Explain what will happen next / who will do the next tasks.
