In this project-based course, you will outline a complete scientific paper, choose an appropriate journal to which you’ll submit the finished paper for publication, and prepare a checklist that will allow you to independently judge whether your paper is ready to submit.
What you’ll need to get started: This course is designed for students who have previous experience with academic research – you should be eager to adapt our writing and publishing advice to an existing personal project.
If you just finished your graduate dissertation, just began your PhD, or are at a different stage of your academic journey or career and just want to publish your work, this course is for you.
Peer reviewing is an important process of academic research. As such, developing one’s technique in this ability is very important for conducting research.
In this examination, you will write your own abstract about your research, and you will as well be part of a peer reviewing process, to review abstract of others. Both techniques are fundamental in order to progress concerning your ability to write a paper.

PROMPT Write here your abstract Climate change has been the most argumentative issue of the
world over the last few decades where developing countries like Bangladesh have been
considered as most vulnerable to the forthcoming impacts. The geography, natural hazard
proneness, and socioeconomic condition has already exacerbated the susceptibility of
Bangladesh to extreme climate events. This study aims to identify the sectors of vulnerability
and to visualize the spatial vulnerabilities through multivariate analysis in Geographic
Information System (GIS).
In order to implement an integrated assessment, 30 socioeconomic
and 12 biophysical indicators have been incorporated in a combination of IPCC and UNFCCC
framework. Input raster layers of indicators have been normalized and analyzed in Python
module of ArcMap 10.5 to retain Principal Components (PCs). Through Catell’s scree test and
Kaiser’s criterion, 6 principal components have been identified. The meteorological shift
vulnerability (PC1) has identified the southeastern and western climatic sub-region consisting of
17 districts as highly vulnerable.
The extreme climate vulnerability (PC2) has shown the coastal
region with its 9 districts as highly vulnerable. Water related vulnerability (PC3) has been found
high in riverine areas as well as in other wetlands and comprises 8 districts. Socioeconomic
vulnerability (PC4) has been marked as high in south and hilly regions containing 35 districts.
Most regions of the country have been found moderate to less vulnerable to infrastructure and
information vulnerability (PC5).
However, hazard shock vulnerability (PC6) has been high in
southwest coastal region, central region and northeastern region, where households and crops are
usually affected due to a variety of natural disasters, consisting of 7 districts. The present study
however is a new edition in climate vulnerability assessment in Bangladesh since it encompasses
multivariate spatial analysis to demonstrate countrywide climate change vulnerability. Results
from this study should be an essential tool in taking proper measures related to the adaptation
and mitigation of climate change impacts from root level to policymaking platforms.
